Dr Mohammad Almajali

Dr Mohammad Almajali is a consultant cardiologist with specialist expertise in advanced cardiac imaging, valvular heart disease, and echocardiography. He currently leads a high-volume echocardiography laboratory at Harefield Hospital — one of the UK's most renowned cardiac centres — where he performs complex TTE, TOE, and stress echocardiography, and leads MDT meetings for mitral valve, aortic valve, and coronary revascularisation cases.

Prior to his consultant appointment, Dr Almajali completed advanced fellowship training in echocardiography at the Royal Brompton Hospital, where he performed over 400 stress echocardiograms and 200 TOEs, including perioperative imaging for complex valve surgery. He also trained at Southampton General Hospital, one of the UK's leading tertiary cardiac centres, and holds accreditation from both the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).

He is an experienced educator and faculty member at Brunel University, co-led the inaugural Harefield Stress Echocardiography Course attended by approximately 100 delegates, and serves as faculty at the East Bohemia International Stress Echocardiography Course. He co-authored the BSE National Guidelines on TOE during COVID-19 and contributed as an International Advisory Board member to the 24th edition of Hutchison's Clinical Methods.

Dr Almajali's clinical interests span the full breadth of cardiology — from valvular heart disease and heart failure to inherited cardiac conditions, POTS, resistant hypertension, and preventive cardiology. He is passionate about making specialist cardiology expertise accessible to patients without the long waits often associated with NHS referrals.
